ag awareness dayThe University of Minnesota Agricultural Education Club is hosting the sixth annual Agriculture Awareness Day on April 21st at Northrup Auditorium on the University of Minnesota East Bank Campus. According to a release about the event, the effort seeks to ” increase awareness of how food, fuel, and fiber are produced and showcase the critical role American agriculture plays in maintaining a strong economy, especially as the world population continues to grow.” Members of the University of Minnesota Agriculture Education Club and other industry experts will be on hand to visit with attendees and discuss various aspects of the agriculture industry. The event will also feature dairy calves, beef cattle, pigs, lambs and llamas as well as food samples and the “name the calf” contest results.
