Minnesota AgriGrowth Opens Registration for 2017 Annual Meeting and Conference
St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota AgriGrowth Council (AgriGrowth) has now opened registration for its Annual Meeting and Conference, which will be held on Thursday, November 9th, 2017 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. AgriGrowth’s annual conference brings together leaders from across Minnesota’s agriculture and food sector to network and hear from local and national speakers on relevant topics impacting Minnesota’s second largest economic sector.
AgriGrowth’s annual conference registration is open to both members and non-members. Executive Director Perry Aasness encourages those involved in agriculture or interested in learning more about the agriculture and food sector to attend. “This year’s conference agenda again includes prominent speakers and panels providing can’t-miss analysis and perspectives on issues affecting Minnesota’s agriculture sector,” states Aasness.
Back by popular demand is Geopolitical Strategist Peter Zeihan, who spoke at the 2015 annual conference. Another popular AgriGrowth annual conference speaker making a return appearance is Wells Fargo agricultural economist Michael Swanson.
A panel discussion on the status of U.S. trade negotiations and impacts to agriculture will lead off the conference. New to this year’s Annual Meeting is a Governor’s Candidate Forum, which will conclude the conference. AgriGrowth has extended an invitation to announced 2018 Republican and DFL candidates for Governor to participate in the candidate forum, with several key candidates already confirming their attendance.
