Saint Paul, Minn. -- The Minnesota AgriGrowth Council (AgriGrowth) announced Josie Lonetti as its New Director of Strategic Engagement today. Lonetti currently serves as the Associate Director of Public Policy with the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation where she co-leads the implementation of legislative strategy and grassroots policy engagement on behalf of Minnesota’s largest general farm organization. Lonetti will assume her role with AgriGrowth on September 27, 2021.

“We are very excited to have someone with Josie’s organization, event, membership and governmental affairs experience joining AgriGrowth,” said Rod Hebrink, Chairman of the AgriGrowth Board of Directors. “Her wealth of experience working with agricultural producers, associations, and the business community spans AgriGrowth’s own membership and her passion for identifying critical issues and engaging members in their solutions will serve AgriGrowth well.”
Prior to joining Minnesota Farm Bureau, Lonetti worked at the Minnesota Business Partnership where she led the planning and execution of events and member management, and at Messerli & Kramer, P.A., where she supported government relations management for corporate and nonprofit clients. Before that, she worked in legislative affairs and communications in St. Paul.
“I am excited to join such a well-respected membership organization that represents Minnesota agriculture, the food community and the food supply chain,” said Lonetti. “AgriGrowth plays an essential role in convening discussions, advocacy efforts, and special projects designed to solve complex issues affecting agri-food members. I look forward to working with members to support and enhance the business climate and Minnesota’s economy.”
Lonetti earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. She also completed the Humphrey School Policy Fellows program earlier this year and is a member of the Minnesota Government Relations Council. During her seven plus years working in membership and governmental affairs for both individual and corporate members, Josie has established relationships with key business leaders, association and agency leaders, and key officials and staff throughout Minnesota and Washington, D.C.
